Abstract: The review deals in detail with ethereal electrolytes widely used at the present time for the formation of high-quality aluminium coatings and mandrels at room temperature. The most important postulates of the theory of electrode processes in ethereal media are discussed on the basis of the latest classification of ethereal electrolytes. The industrial applications of electrolytic aluminium-plating processes and prospects for their further development are briefly enumerated.
