V. V. Pechkovskii, G. Kh. Cherches, M. I. Kuz'menkov

Belarusian Institute of Technology, Minsk
Abstract: The principles of the application of gel chromatography are discussed, together with its potentialities in the investigation of inorganic polymers of phosphorus with the aim of determining molecular dimensions, fractionating a mixture, obtaining individual phosphates, and also analysing their molecular-weight composition. The development and the achievements of the gel chromatography of condensed phosphates are surveyed. The phenomena occurring in a gel during the elution of inorganic compounds are described for several salts. A list of 91 references is included.
