Abstract: A little more than 20 years have elapsed since the discovery of ferrocene (dicyclopentadienyliron) and during this period its chemistry has developed quite extensively. The present authors have seen the beginning of practical studies on the applications of ferrocene and its compounds.
The review does not deal with the applications of ferrocene-containing polymers.
The bibliography includes 81 references.
