Abstract: The spectra of aromatic sulphonyl compounds ArSO2X – sulphonic acids, their derivatives, and sulphones (X = OH, OAlk, OAr, Hal, NH2, N3, Alk, Ar) – are examined, information is reported on the photoreactions, and modern views are given on the mechanism of these processes.
A list of 143 references is included.
