Abstract: The review deals with advances in research on the applications of polymeric compounds in active cancer chemotherapy and prospects for its development. The principal aims to which efforts are at present directed are indicated and arguments are adduced in support of the necessity for a further and comprehensive development of this problem. Attention is concentrated on the employment of synthetic polyelectrolytes as transporting agents for active chemotherapeutic preparations.
