Vibrations of the Ethynyl Group (C≡C–H), the Hydrogen Bond, and Intramolecular Interactions in Monosubstituted Acetylenes
E. A. Gastilovich, D. N. Shigorin Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry, Moscow
Abstract:
The problem of whether or not the vibrations of the ethynyl group are characteristic has been examined and data are presented for the vibration modes, the potential fields, and the electro-optical parameters. Much attention has been devoted to the spectroscopic model of the hydrogen bond. Various methods of investigating intramolecular interactions in acetylene derivatives (containing halogen, Si, Sn, and N atoms as well as groups with π-electrons) by vibrational (infrared) spectroscopy have been considered. The bibliography includes 94 references.
