Advances in the Chemistry of Inorganic Films and the Interference Indicator Method

E. S. Vorontsov, V. K. Altukhov, A. N. Korneeva, N. P. Peksheva

Voronezh Polytechnic Institute
Abstract: The fast developing field of chemical methods of preparation of inorganic films is reviewed, and a new method of investigating heterogeneous reactions (based on recent advances in the chemistry of inorganic films) is formulated, and termed the "interference indicator method". Specific features of the method are discussed, and examples are given of its application to studies of mechanism, kinetics, and catalysis in heterogeneous reactions; the limitations of the method, and its advantages and disadvantages, are also discussed. 106 references.
