Homolytic Substitution at the Metal Atom in Organometallic Compounds
E. B. Milovskaya Institute of Macromolecular Compounds of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Leningrad
Abstract:
Homolytic substitution at the metal atom involves a wide range of organic derivatives of non-transition metals and takes place in reactions with free radicals where the reaction centre is located at an oxygen, nitrogen, or sulphur atom. The qualitative and quantitative aspects of these reactions have been examined. The applicability of the relations established both in the treatment of a series of reactions involving organometallic compounds and for synthetic purposes has been demonstrated. The bibliography includes 75 references.
