Non-standard Phosphorus-containing Derivatives of Carbohydrates

The review deals with the analogues of natural carbohydrate phosphates modified in the phosphorus-containing fragment. Synthetic pathways leading to compounds which are of greatest interest owing to their chemical properties and their behaviour in certain enzymatic reactions have been examined.
