Recyclisation Reactions of Heterocyclic Compounds Involving Hydrazine and Its Substituted Derivatives

Abstract:
In the review an attempt is made for the first time to give a systematic account of the available literature data for the recyclisation reactions of heterocyclic compounds under the influence of two-centre nucleophilic agents – hydrazine and its derivatives. The recyclisation reactions are classified taking into account the capacity of heterocycles to undergo such reactions as a function of the structure and the distribution in the heterocyclic compounds of reaction centres determining the mode of recyclisation. Particular attention has been devoted to heterocyclic rearrangements involving the hydrazine moiety of the molecule. The mechanisms of the recyclisation processes are discussed. The importance of these reactions in organic synthesis has been demonstrated. The bibliography includes 255 references.
