Abstract: The review deals with the present state of the problem of the ionisation of isocyanates: cyclic di- and trimerisation, homopolymerisation, and copolymerisation of isocyanates with other monomers. The mechanisms of the processes involving various catalytic systems are considered and the results of investigations of the polymerisation of isocyanates and their theoretical and practical importance are discussed.
The bibliography includes 125 references.
