Abstract: The review describes the reactions of fully esterified phosphorous acids, phosphoramidites, and the mixed anhydrides of dialkylphosphorous and carboxylic acids with carbonyl compounds not containing halogens: unsaturated and saturated aldehydes and ketones, α-diketones, and carbonyl compounds activated by ethoxycarbonyl, phosphoryl, nitrile, or any other electronegative group. The modes and mechanisms of these extremely varied and interesting reactions, which are important for progress in the chemistry of organophosphorus compounds and theoretical organic chemistry, have been examined.
The bibliography includes 188 references.
