Abstract: Methods of analysing the p.m.r. spectra of organophosphorus compounds are examined, the chief features of the chemical shifts of protons and the proton–proton and proton–phosphorus spin–spin interaction constants are summarised, and the main lines of investigation of organophosphorus compounds by the p.m.r. method are discussed. A list of 167 references is included.
