Abstract: The excited triplet states of molecules play an important role in the mechanisms of any photochemical reaction. These states are responsible for the occurrence of two-quantum photsensitisation, photoionisation, and photoreduction reactions. The present review compiles and gives a systematic account of the principal results obtained in the application of ESR to the study of the excited triplet state of biologically important molecules.
The bibliography includes 91 references.
