Abstract: The review deals with studies on the synthesis and properties of polymers containing the s-triazine ring in the main chain (polytriazine). These polymers have found large-scale application in many branches of engineering. Attention has been concentrated on studies dealing with the preparation of thermostable and heat resistant polymers based on s-triazine derivatives and also new and novel methods of synthesising these polymers, particularly such as the polycyclotrimerisation and polycyclocondensation reactions.
The bibliography includes 250 references.
