Thorough Elimination of Acetylenic Hydrocarbon Impurities from Various Mixtures
G. P. Chernyuk
Abstract:
Acetylenic hydrocarbons are a very undesirable impurity in many instances of polymerisation, oxidation, and other syntheses. The problem of the elimination of acetylene derivatives from various mixtures has been investigated in fair detail: patent data are particularly numerous. This review is based on studies published up to 1970; an attempt has been made to give a systematic account of and to compare the advantages and disadvantages of various methods and procedures for the thorough elimination of the above impurities and certain physical properties of the principal components of the mixtures purified and analytical methods for the determination of the acetylenic hydrocarbon impurities have been examined. The bibliography includes 383 references.
