The Application of Electrophysical Effects to the Study of the Thermal Decomposition of Solids
A. A. Kabanov Krasnoyarsk State University
Abstract:
A critical review is presented of work on the thermal decomposition of solid inorganic compounds, based on electrophysical phenomena (electrical conductivity, photoconductivity, contact phenomena, thermo-e.m.f., Hall voltage, and dielectric characteristics). It is shown that electrophysical methods offer an effective approach to the study of the thermal decomposition of solids. The need for further developments in the experimental procedures available, and for comprehensive analysis of the results, is stressed. 156 references.
