Abstract: The methods of preparation of oligosiloxanes with two organic substituents per unit, containing the functional groups X(R2SiO)nSiR2X (X = Cl, OCOR, OR, NR2, OH, or ONa) at the terminal silicon atom, have been considered and a critical assessment of the possibility of employing the methods for the synthesis of oligomers with specified n and X has been made.
The bibliography includes 187 references.
