Abstract: Methods of analysing the formation of network polymers from polyfunctional compounds and determining their structural parameters are surveyed, and experimental data obtained by these methods on the formation of network polymers from monomers and oligomers are examined. The data permit assessment of the possibilities and the establishment of general laws for the formation of polymer networks in the initial and the final stages of the reactions. The problems of the controlled synthesis of network polymers from polyfunctional compounds are discussed on the basis of the experimental results which have accumulated.
