Abstract: The literature data on the structure of polyphosphoric acid (PPA) and cyclisation and polycyclisation reactions in polyphosphoric acid whereby thermally stable polyheteroarylenes of various structures may be obtained are reviewed and the possible mechanisms of these reactions are discussed.
The bibliography includes 235 references.
