Autocondensation of Cyclic Ketones

S. V. Svetozarskii, E. N. Zil'berman
Abstract: The reactions of cyclohexanone and 2-, 3-, and 4-methylcyclohexanones, cyclopentanone, and cycloheptanone, mainly under the action of acid and alkaline reagents, have been examined. The conditions governing the formation and the structures of the dimeric, trimeric, and polymeric autocondensation products – αβ-,βγ-, and other unsaturated ketones, hydroxyketones, compounds with furan or hydrogenated furan rings, dihydropyrans, hydrocarbons such as dodecahydrotriphenylene, and other compounds – have been discussed.
The bibliography includes 102 references.
