Abstract: The chemistry of four-membered cyclic compounds containing both nitrogen and phosphorus, which may find application in the preparation of thermostable plastics and the synthesis of biologically active compounds, has been widely investigated in recent years. This review deals with problems concerning the determination of the structure, the investigation of the physical and chemical properties of cyclodiphosphazanes containing trivalent tetracoordinate and pentacoordinate phosphorus atoms, and the methods of their synthesis and chemical reactions.
The bibliography includes 104 references.
