English full-text Citations (26)
Abstract: Exhaustive data are given on methods for the synthesis of thioamides, which have now found wide application in synthetic practice, in medicine, biology, and analytical chemistry, in the foodstuffs and metallurgical industries, and in other fields. Attention is paid mainly to methods for preparing thioamides from nitriles and amides and by the Willgerodt–Kindler reaction. This is the first review of the synthesis of thioamides to be published in the Soviet literature. The list of references contains 378 items.
