M. O. Lozinskii, P. S. Pel'kis

Institute of Organic Chemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, Kyiv
Abstract: The review presents the latest advances in the chemistry of acyl and sulphonyl isocyanates, isothiocyanates, and isoselenocyanates. All the methods for the preparation of these compounds are examined and treated systematically. Their reactions and their physical properties are described and the problems of their structure and isomerisation are discussed. In conclusion the available literature data on the practical importance and applications of acyl and sulphonyl isocyanates, isothiocyanates, and isoselenocyanates are presented.
