Abstract: The present review highlights methods for the synthesis of partially hydrogenated 3-aminoisoquinolines and fused heterocyclic systems based on these derivatives. The chemical properties of these compounds are analyzed; in particular, the reactions with electrophilic and nucleophilic agents, oxidation and reduction are considered.
