Abstract: The methods of preparation and physicochemical and mechanical properties of gradient interpenetrating polymer networks (IPN) are examined. The results of studies on the viscoelastic properties as well as the strength and other mechanical characteristics in layers of gradient IPN are presented. The properties of the usual and gradient IPN of the same chemical nature are compared. Data are presented on the layer-by-layer variation of the thermodynamic compatibility of the components in gradient IPN. The bibliography includes 64 references.
