Abstract:
Recent studies of adsorption from solutions of mixtures of polymers have been examined. The experimental results reveal an interrelation between the adsorption of polymers from a mixture, the thermodynamic compatibility of the components in solution, the change in the thermodynamic quality of the 'mixed solvent' (polymer + solvent), and the critical crossover concentration for each component (on the one hand) and the averaged critical concentration for the mixture. The influence of the aggregation of macromolecules in solutions of mixtures on the adsorption in the concentration regions above and below the critical concentration for the overlapping of macromolecular globules has been demonstrated. The bibliography includes 30 references.
