Abstract: The main types of biofuels that can be obtained from biorenewable energy sources are analyzed. As the sources, different types of biomass accumulated as the result of photosynthetic conversion of solar energy are considered. The synthesis of biofuels is characterized by the use of combined chemical and biotechnological approaches.
