Abstract: The methods of synthesis and properties of organometallic (Li, Cu) and organoelement (Si, N, S) σ-derivatives and η4-iron tricarbonyl complexes of 2-pyrone are considered. The Diels–Alder reactions of the organoelement derivatives of 2-pyrone with dienophyles take place stereoselectively and under mild conditions, which opens new pathways to the specific synthesis of polyfunctional cyclohexenes and cyclohexadienes. The bibliography includes 40 references.
