Abstract:
Literature data on [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangements of organofluorine compounds are surveyed and described systematically in terms of the type of substances and intermediates involved in the rearrangements. The characteristic features of these reactions are considered as a function of the structure of the isomerising molecules and the positions in the latter of fluorine atoms and fluorine-containing substituents. The possibilities arising from the use of the [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangements for the specific synthesis of fluorine-containing compounds belonging to particular classes are assessed. The bibliography includes 180 references.
