Abstract: The redox properties of mononuclear and polynuclear rhodium and ruthenium complexes are examined. Attention is concentrated on the possible locations of the electronic changes in the redox transitions. The relation between the electrochemical parameters of the complexes and electronic spectroscopic data is traced. Extensive reference data are presented on the oxidation and reduction potentials of mononuclear and polynuclear rhodium and ruthenium complexes. The bibliography includes133 references.
