Abstract: The results of studies on the problem of the effect of metal coordination compounds on biological and bilayer lipid membranes are surveyed. The authors' later data, defining the mechanism of the action of metal complexes, which are significant in the development of specific syntheses of physiologically active substances used in medicine and agriculture, are presented.
