Abstract: Literature data on the use of organic compounds of Mn(II) as reagents for organic synthesis have been correlated. Methods of obtaining and using them in acyl-, alkenyl- and allyldemetallation reactions and in 1,2- and 1,4-additions to carbonyl substrates are considered. The reactions of manganese derivatives containing Mn–Si and Mn–Sn bonds are discussed. The bibliography includes 99 references.
