Water vapor condensation and relaxation processes in a gasdynamic CO2 laser

Abstract:
Calculations of the kinetics of water vapor condensation in a supersonic jet of a CO2–N2–H2O gas mixture expanding through a slit were used as the basis for an investigation of the influence of heterogeneous molecular relaxation on the parameters of the active medium in a gasdynamic CO2 laser. The results of the calculations were compared with experimental data.
