Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of deflecting phase diffraction gratings in thin-film waveguides. The investigated grating structures were used as the basis of mixers of information channels in thin-film waveguides designed for optical communication lines with frequency-division channel multiplexing. Multichannel devices (with more than 50 channels) were built for mixing and division of optical data channels in a thin-film waveguide made of As2S3 films. A mixer with three data channels with different optical carrier frequencies was constructed.
