Efficiency of conversion of laser radiation into electrical energy

Abstract: It was found that the emission currents created by the interaction of two consecutive pulses with a target in vacuum can be increased if the energy carried by the first pulse is an order of magnitude less than that of the main pulse. The dependence of the current on the laser radiation energy is reported.
