Influence of electrolytes on the lasing properties of rhodamine G solutions

V. I. Tomin, A. D. Das'ko, V. A. Yakovenko
Abstract: An investigation was made of the influence of certain electrolytes on the luminescence, absorption, and lasing spectra and also on the dependence of the output energy on the pump energy and emission wavelength in a rhodamine G solution. A long-wavelength shift of the absorption, luminescence, and lasing spectra was recorded when an electrolyte was added to the solution. The addition of an electrolyte also decreased the lasing threshold and increased the output power and lasing efficiency.
