Abstract:
An investigation was made of conversion of neodymium laser radiation to the 2-$\mu$ wavelength range by means of a $BaYb_2F_8:Ho^{3+}$ laser crystal. The most important spectroscopic and lasing characteristics of the crystal were determined.
