Abstract:
Results are presented of an optimization of the characteristics of a flashlamp-pumped Al2O3:Ti3+ laser using luminescent light converters. Two types of converters were tested, a liquid one and a polymer one utilizing a dye (coumarin 30). The maximum laser output energy was 130 mJ with a differential efficiency of 0.4%. The tuning range of the laser radiation was 685–920 nm.
