Abstract:
A novel contactless laser optoacoustic spectroscopy method is proposed and theoretically substantiated. It is based on laser excitation of intense surface acoustic waves and detection of IR surface radiation associated with temperature variations that accompany the propagation of these waves. The method may prove useful in investigations of objects at elevated temperatures and of samples with a rough surface.
