Influence of nonlinear absorption on a nonlinear phase shift of 10.6 µ radiation in InSb and InAs

Abstract: The ray approximation is used to consider the problem of a nonlinear phase shift (advance) experienced by radiation propagating in a medium with a strong nonlinear absorption. The dependences of the nonlinear phase shift on the intensity of the incident radiation are calculated for InSb and InAs.
