Abstract: The construction of a resonator for the λ≈300–700 Å range is discussed. A description is given of two normal-incidence resonators in which radiation is coupled out either through a slit in a mirror or by a diffraction grating (in a nonzero diffraction order). It is shown that the use of laser plasma as the active medium imposes stringent requirements on the optical strength of the resonator mirrors.
