Abstract: It is shown that wavefront reversal with a frequency shift is possible in axial anti-Stokes stimulated Raman scattering. The similarities and differences between this scheme and the phase conjugacy schemes proposed earlier are discussed. It is shown that the proposed scheme extends the class of processes in which wavefront reversal may be observed.
