Recording of holograms in As2S3–Ag photosensitive systems

Abstract: A study was made of the principal characteristics of holograms recorded in semiconductor-metal film systems. The holograms were found to be similar to thin phase gratings. The optimal thickness of each of the films was determined and factors limiting the diffracting efficiency of the holograms were identified.
