Spectral-correlation study of fluctuations of the intensity of 0.63 μ radiation emitted from an He–Ne laser

Abstract: A spectral-correlation experimental study was made of the fluctuations of the intensity of emission from a helium-neon laser. This study included measurements of the spectral power density of fluctuations of the emission intensity and discharge current, as well as measurements of the transfer coefficient and coefficient of mutual correlation between the current and emitted light. The measurements were carried out in the frequency range of discharge current fluctuations. The spectral power density of fluctuations of the radiation intensity was calculated. A qualitative analysis was made of the results obtained.
