Abstract:
Determination was made of the composition of the YAG:Cr:Tm:Ho active medium capable of pulse-periodic (10 Hz) emission of 2-μm stimulated radiation. An average output power of 7.5 W was obtained in the case of free-running operation and 0.5 W when single pulses were emitted. The loss factor was determined for 2-μm radiation in quartz fiber waveguides 0.4 mm in diameter: its value was 5%/m.
