Radiative transitions in nuclei subjected to a laser radiation field

Abstract: It is shown that the action of intense laser radiation on excited nuclei should give rise to spontaneous-stimulated emission of γ rays and to the anti-Stokes Raman scattering of light by the nuclei. Estimates suggest that this may be achieved experimentally.
