Calculation of cross noise in a volume holographic corrector

B. Ya. Zel'dovich, E. A. Nemkova
Abstract: The problem of a volume hologram converting a reference speckle field into a plane wave is considered. The angular distribution and the total intensity of a plane wave are calculated for distortions which appear because of the amplitude inhomogeneity of cross gratings and which propagate close to the plane wave direction. The total intensity is found to be proportional to the product of the angle between the signal and reference waves and the divergence of the reference speckle wave.
