Deformation of the 1.06 μ Nd3+ band profile of glasses under free-oscillation conditions

Abstract: The deformation of the 1.06 μ Nd3+ luminescence band profile of glasses of different compositions (silicate and phosphate) was recorded under free-oscillation conditions. It was established that the type of distortion and its temperature dependence were similar to those found on exposure to a giant pulse. A significant lack of correlation between the Stark components which comprise the 1.06 μ Nd3+ band was confirmed.
