Abstract: An analysis is made of the possibility of utilizing resonance photodissociation of van der Waals complexes (with a binding energy of <0.1 eV per molecule), and resonance desorption and acoustodesorption of adsorbed molecules bound to the surface by the weak van der Waals interaction in generating fluxes of cold atoms and molecules.
